We have had bad luck with the horses lately. Jesse's horse "Lily" got a rock stuck in her foot, Jace got it out quick but not before it did alot of damage. She kept geting worse and we figured out it turned into an absess. To explain it better it is like if you get a blood blister under your fingernail and the pressure hurts until you open it and let it drain. Well, we opened it, but didn't keep it as clean as we should of and her foot got infected. We have had to doctor her for the last two weeks by wrapping her foot in whats called a "Moonboot" It looks funny, but what you do is soak her foot in epsom salt then put iodaine and a diaper around her foot, then wrap it with alot of duct tape. This keeps it clean and dry and the diaper absorbs the drainage. Lily still limps a little, but she is getting better. Also Riley's horse cut her leg and it is swollen so we have to watch her too. Sorry if this is gross, but this our exciting life.
